E-Pashudhan Haat Scheme

Why In News -: 

Government has launched e-Pashu Haat portal (www.epashuhaat.gov.in) for connecting breeders and farmers of indigenous breeds. 
Benefit of Portal -: 
Through the portal farmers can obtain information on location of quality indigenous germplasm in the form live animals, semen doses and embryos. 
This portal is playing crucial role in development and conservation of indigenous breeds. 
 As on date complete information along with pedigree and productivity details on availability of 80,433 live animals, 80.36 million  semen doses and 364 embryos is available on the portal (as on 31.07.2018).

Other Benefits  -: 
1 - India has largest bovine population in the world .
2 - India has widest diversity in bovine livestock .
3 - It will play a key role ni doubling farmer's income by 2022 .
4 - It will establish link between farmers and between farmer and institution so as to prevent middle man.
5 - It will provide single platform to the farmer's which will help then accessing all the information regarding bovine selling , purchasing and breeding .

Working Women Hostels Scheme

 About the Scheme -:  Ministry of Women and Child Development is implementing Hostels for Working Women Scheme since 1972-73.  Objective -:  The Scheme aims at providing safe and affordable accommodation to working women. Features -:  These hostels have Day care facility for the children of inmates too.  As per the norms of the Scheme, financial assistance is provided to the eligible implementing organizations such as State Government agencies and Civil Society Organizations through concerned State Government.  There is also a provision of   one-time non-recurring grant @ Rs. 7500/- per inmate for purchase of furniture and furnishings. PowerTex India Scheme

Why in News -:  The Government is implementing  Power Tex India, a comprehensive scheme for power loom sector development. Under the scheme, existing plain powerlooms are upgraded to semi-automatic and shuttleless looms to improve quality and productivity, by providing financial assistance to powerloomunits. So far, more than 2.16 lakh looms have been upgraded in the country under the in-situ upgradation component of the scheme.
